what it can tell you.
What does a successful check mean?
It means the address has a supported format and its domain has mail routing configured. It does not confirm that the individual inbox exists or guarantee that a message will be delivered.
Will you send an email to the address?
No. We check address syntax and public DNS records. We don’t send messages or connect to the recipient’s inbox.
Why might a result be inconclusive?
DNS services can be temporarily unavailable, or a domain’s configuration may not provide a clear answer. An inconclusive result doesn’t mean the address is invalid. Try again later.
What are MX records?
Mail exchange (MX) records tell email systems which servers handle a domain’s incoming mail. Some domains use an address record as a fallback. A special “null MX” record explicitly says the domain does not accept email.
How is my data handled?
Your full email address is sent to this service to run the check. Only the domain is sent to Cloudflare’s DNS resolver. This app does not save submitted addresses, use cookies, or run analytics. Cloudflare also hosts this service and processes request and network metadata to deliver it.
Is Verify free to use?
Yes. You can check one address at a time without an account. Usage limits help keep the service available for everyone.
